Race Weekend Road Closures

Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will bring 48,000 runners downtown Ottawa. Please be advised that it’s best to enter/exit the core via Nicholas or Kent/Lyon.

Saturday, May 23 from 2pm until approximately 8pm Colonel By Drive, Laurier Avenue and Elgin Street will all be closed.

Sunday, May 24 from 6am until 2pm Colonel By Drive, Laurier Avenue and Queen Elizabeth Drive will be closed.  Eastbound access on Wellington thru MacKenzie and access to Elgin will also be impacted during that time.

Sussex Drive will be closed to traffic between George St. and the Rockcliffe Parkway from 6:30am until 1:30pm. Parking east of Sussex on all streets will not be affected. Alexandra Bridge will remain closed between 7am and 2pm.

The route crew and the Ottawa Police Service are committed to minimizing the inconvenience of these closures.

Come downtown and enjoy the energy of the weekend!
