View photographs of original works for sale on May 22 from the following artists:
10:00-Noon -- Competition -- public votes on-site for the People's Choice Award -- viewing at The Underpass before the Exhibit & Sale at noon. Vote ballot is also entered into a draw for the public to win a $400 Downtown Rideau gift basket.
Noon-5:00 -- Exhibit & Sale -- over 50 original works art on view and for sale created by 6 local artists during weekends of the Tulip Festival. 15% from sold works donated to the Ottawa Arts Court Foundation, an organization that manages, programs and provides arts services to emerging and professional artists. Live entertainment by the Brian Downey Jazz Quartet. Refreshments available.
PLEIN AIR Art Exhibit & Sale promotes connecting local visual artists with tourists and the public over 8 days during the Canadian Tulip Festival. Vistors have been treated to artistic works-in-progress through outdoor encounters while travelling to and from festival activities, hotels, dining and shopping. Artists selected by jury have been painting at high profile/high traffic locations, landmarks and attractions throughout Downtown Rideau.
