Skating in Ottawa

Community-Operated Outdoor Rinks for Your Skating Pleasure!

Join in the outdoor winter fun at one of the City of Ottawa’s 247 outdoor rinks! They come in a variety of sizes, with and without boards, puddles and lights. The rinks are very weather dependent, and the season will likely start the first week of January and end February 28. For safety, wear helmets while using the rink. Book the rink for a group activity. Permits are a maximum of one hour per week, per group, limited times available. For your outdoor skating fun check the Google map to find the nearest rink to you.

The rink features LED lighting, a heated change hut and picnic tables and benches. It operates free from November to March seven days a week.
