Daly Ave closed for 4 hours September 27

The City of Ottawa would like to notify you of an upcoming road closure in your area. This closure is related to the Ottawa Art Gallery Expansion and Arts Court Redevelopment project. This project is part of a long-standing vision for the revitalization of Ottawa’s downtown.

Details of the closure are as follows:
WHAT: A section of Daly Avenue will be closed for 4 hours on Sunday, September 27.
WHERE: The closure will take place on Daly Avenue between Nicholas Street and Waller Street.
WHEN: The closure will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
WHY: This closure is required to remove an overhead sign structure.
WHO: The City has retained the contractor, Black & McDonald Limited, to complete the work.

Access to and from the Les Suites Hotel and the Novotel Ottawa Hotel will be maintained during the closure. Vehicle access to the hotel parking garages will be maintained with the aid of flag persons. Vehicle access to the Arts Court loading zone
will be unavailable during the closure.
Pedestrian and cyclists should use Besserer Street in place of Daly Avenue to travel between Nicholas Street and Waller Street.

Accessibility is an important consideration for the City of Ottawa. The City makes every effort to provide access through and around construction sites. If you require special accommodation, please contact the On-Site Foreman or the Contractor’s representative.

Should you have further questions, please contact one of the undersigned. For any emergency outside normal working hours on weekdays and weekends, please call the City at 3-1-1.
