Noise Exemption Requests – Rideau Street July 5-8

Please be advised that OLRTC has been granted two  overnight noise by-law exemptions for the following works:

1.       WHAT: Drilling three boreholes for the installation of geotechnical monitoring equipment on Rideau Street near the intersection of Rideau Street and Sussex Drive. The noise exemption is being requested to minimize the overall impacts and road/lane closures on Rideau Street.

WHEN: The exemption will be for 3 nights from July 5th to July 8th (Tuesday-Thursday). Noise impacts are anticipated to be moderate.

2.       WHAT:  Significant concrete pour at the Rideau East Entrance (Bank of Nova Scotia) to minimize impacts to transit and pedestrian movements.

WHEN: July 7th, 2016 from 10pm to 7am. Noise impacts are anticipated to be moderate to loud. Sound sources will be attributed to construction equipment, including vehicles, trucks and backup beepers, concrete trucks and a concrete pump.
