Remembrance Day Retail Hours

city log

The City of Ottawa is reminding retail businesses and the public that many businesses are required to remain closed until 12:30 p.m. on Remembrance Day. This requirement was established in recognition of the significance of Remembrance Day in honouring Canadian veterans and those currently serving in the military, and is in accordance with the City of Ottawa’s Remembrance Day By-law 2008-355.  The by-law requires most retail businesses to remain closed until 12:30 p.m. on November 11 each year.
