City Council approves expansion of Downtown Rideau B.I.A.

A by-law of the City of Ottawa to amend By-law Number 265-97 of the old Corporation of the City of Ottawa to expand the Downtown Rideau Business Improvement Area.  The B.I.A.’s new boundary is as follows:

  • Rideau Street from Elgin Street to the Cummings Bridge at the Rideau River one block in each direction (north and south)
  • Laurier Street (north side) between Elgin and Nicholas streets to George Street (south side) including the Bytown Museum, Rideau Canal, National Arts Centre and Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel
  • Stewart Street (north side) between Waller Street to King Edward Avenue (west side) to George Street (south side)
  • King Edward Avenue (east side) from Daly Avenue to York Street
