OAG Director & CEO Alexandra Badzak receives Victor Tolgesy Award

The Ottawa Arts Council honours an individual each year for substantial enrichment of cultural life in Ottawa.

Alexandra, as Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ottawa Art Gallery, received this award for her leadership on the gallery’s major expansion project in Downtown Rideau, and her involvement in other arts initiatives including past Chair of the Ottawa Museum Network Board of Directors, past member of the National Historic Sites Alliance of Ontario Steering Committee, current member of the Canadian Art Museum Directors’ Organization. She was one of the 13 member Arts and Heritage Steering Committee charged with renewing the City of Ottawa’s 20/20 cultural plan and is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa and a Board member of the Downtown Rideau B.I.A.
